If you want to mount your pressure fit safety gate on a staircase baluster or pole, you’ll need the Y-adapter. It makes it possible for you to mount your safety gate on a round surface without drilling holes. The adapter is rubber-coated steel to prevent damage on the baluster or pole. Please notice if you have a Maja or Lise safety gate, you can’t mount the Y-adapter on the same side as the handle. The Y-adapter comes in a 100% biodegradable packaging and is Cradle to Cradle certified. This means when you throw the packaging away, it will naturally decompose and doesn’t leave anything behind that could damage our planet.
